They claim that it is more practical because it lasts longer even when it uses less power. This is something that I feel passionately about because led lights are actually friendlier to the environment.

A led light lasts longer than ordinary car lights by at least 100% and because car lights are very inaccessible, the use of led lights posts a lot of advantage. They claim a led street lam has been operating for 100,000 hours as opposed to an incandescent light of approximately 5,000 hours. The difference is astounding.

When you apply that to a car, the led light will be more expensive on the onset but because you will avoid replacing it, you will save on labor, and you will save time, in the end, the price is just the same. Imagine taking your car to replace a bulb that must cost more than $50 and then multiply it to the number of times when you will have to replace it to be at par with a led light's 100,000 hours. You also need to buy the replacement bulb and then compute the cost of the hours that you are losing.

Led lights for cars reduces power consumption so you don't just save on actual cost, you also save on the use of your battery.

Led lights for cars are new but this has been around on other industries. Traffic lights and outdoor signs, have been using led lights for some time. The led light technology is very young and it would be interesting to see how else they can improve this technology to benefit us and the environment.
